Week 1: “Dreaming Up Hope”
A star is rising in the darkness
Wait for the light
A song is rising from the silence
Wait for the light
A hope is rising from the sorrow
Wait for the light
Emmanuel, we wait for you
Wait for the light
Week 2: “Dreaming Up Peace“
We come to prepare the way;
The way for Christ—
Christ’s hope, Christ’s peace—
to enter our world, and to enter our hearts.
We cry out together in the wilderness:
The kingdom of heaven has come near!
Week 3: “Dreaming Up Joy“
Joy to the world! The Lord is coming.
Sin and sorrow just can’t compete.
There will be gardens in the desert,
and new bounce in tired bodies.
So come to Zion with singing;
everlasting joy shall be ours!
Week 4: “Dreaming Up Love“
*adapted from 1 John:7-12
Beloved, let us love one another,
because love is from God;
everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
God’s love was revealed among us in this way:
God sent his only Son into the world
so that we might live through him.
Beloved, since God loved us so much,
we also ought to love one another.
If we love one another, God lives in us,
and God’s love is perfected in us.
