Week 1: “The Promise of Presence

Christ is risen! He greets us
with a word of peace.
We welcome the risen Christ!
Locked doors and doubting hearts
cannot keep him away.
We welcome the risen Christ!
He comes to bless us
with the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We welcome the risen Christ!
We worship and adore him!

Week 2: “The Promise of a Companion”

We have been walking, Lord,
roads of uncertainty and fear
roads of exhaustion and doubt
winding roads that led us here.
Join us on our journey, Lord.
By your presence, refresh our spirits,
set our hearts ablaze,
and give us new direction!

Week 3: “The Promise of a Guardian”
*written in collaboration by the Illumination Northern Kentucky Youth Group*

I shall not want, for I am content;
the Lord bestows gracious gifts upon me.
Even in darkness I can feel God’s light,
for the Lord bestows a path to guide me.
So thank the Lord, who has given us more than we deserve.
Let us worship God!

Week 4: “The Promise of a Way Home”

Gather us, O God
There is room for us all.
Dwell with us, O God.
Show us the way.
Guide us, O God.
We give thanks and praise for Christ
as our way, truth and life.

Week 5: “The Promise of an Advocate”

Come down, O Love divine!
kindle our souls to life.
O Comforter, draw near,
appear within our very hearts.
Help us become the place
in which the Holy Spirit dwells.

Week 6: “The Promise of Power”

We look to the skies—
Jesus is with us.
We look to the city crowds—
Jesus is with us.
We look around this sanctuary—
Jesus is still with us. Praise the Lord!
