Entrusted Treasures: Call to Worship Cycle

These Calls to Worship were created to serve alongside the stewardship sermon series, Entrusted Treasures

Week One:
Come to the table,
to the gift of Christ’s love.
Come to the waters,
to the gift of God’s grace.
Come among this congregation,
to the gift of God’s people.
Come to this sanctuary,
to the gift of God’s presence.

Week Two (adapted from a traditional Tanzanian song of adoration, neno lake Mungu):
Listen! God is calling
through the Word inviting
offering forgiveness, comfort and joy
Help us to be faithful,
standing steadfast,
walking in your precepts, led by your Word.

Week Three (adapted from Mark 12:28-34):
Listen, children of God: the Lord our God is one;
you shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart, and with all your soul,
and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Do this, and you are not far from God’s kingdom.

Week Four:
God has entrusted treasures to us:
scripture and song, faith and family.
So we entrust our treasures to God:
hopes and dreams, gifts and time.
Trusting in the glory of God,
we come to sing God’s praise!
