Where Our Treasure Is: Call to Worship Cycle

These Calls to Worship were created to serve alongside the stewardship sermon series, Where Our Treasure Is.

Week One (adapted from Psalm 100):
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come into his presence with singing.
Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to God, bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

Week Two:
Spirit, get us ready to worship
Send your grace like rain to nourish us
Send your love like sun to warm us
Send your Word like seeds to grow within us
Spirit, get us ready to worship
Dwell within us now.

Week Three:
We come to worship God:
within the fellowship of the faithful
friends and neighbors,
siblings and strangers
all who love God
and whom God loves.
As the one people of God,
let us lift our voices together!

Week Four:
We come to worship not to escape the world
but to praise the one who made it
not to turn a blind eye to suffering
but to gaze upon the one who gives us hope;
not to shut out our neighbors
but to remind ourselves to love them.
Holy Christ, in music, prayer, scripture,
renew in us the strength to serve your children.
